PAL/NTSC, VHS/DVD

The World of Swing Store USA sells NTSC videos only. DVDs are only available in NTSC format, which play on almost all PAL DVD players. If you want to order PAL VHS videos please check out our World of Swing Store Europe.

World of Swing produces its DVD titles on professional duplicated DVD-Video discs. We chose DVD-Video to offer you the best compatibility, quality, and value. Unfortunately DVD-Video discs are much more expensive to produce for smaller productions than replicated DVD+R or DVD-R discs. Therefore we won't convert our older VHS videos to DVD-Video. The VHS tapes will run out around 2006. Some videos will be replaced by new DVD titles in the future.

US Shipping Information

We do the best we can to offer affordable AND reliable shipping service. Therefore we ship with FedEx Ground, which offers tracking and insurance.

Shipping To Mainland US
We ship with FedEx Ground. Shipping is $6.00 for the first item and $1.00 for each additional item. Delivery time is 1 to 5 business days.

Shipping To Alaska and Hawaii
We ship with FedEx Ground. Shipping is $15.00 for the first item and $2.00 for each additional item. Delivery time is 3 to 7 business days.

Shipping To Puerto Rico
We ship with FedEx Ground International. Average delivery time is 3 to 7 business days. Shipping costs are calculated by weight. See also customs information below.

We offer shipping with FedEx Economy International, and USPS Global Express. Average delivery time is 3 to 7 business days. Shipping costs are calculated by weight. See also customs information below.

Shipping To The Rest Of The World
We offer shipping with FedEx Economy International and USPS Global Express. Both services include tracking and insurance for your order. Average delivery time is 4 to 5 business days. Shipping costs are calculated by weight.

Hint:
USPS Global Express is cheaper, but in case of a damaged or lost shipment the recipient has to do the paperwork at his local post office. On the other hand small USPS packages sometimes pass customs without charge. FedEx packages will always trigger customs clearance fees. See also customs information below.

Your country may charge you additional taxes or duties for foreign goods that enter the country. The delivery service will charge you also a customs clearance fees.

Customs duties, customs taxes, and administrative fees for customs clearance are not included in the shipping costs. Those fees will be collected directly from the recipient by customs of your country or the delivery service.

Customs taxes, duties are different for every country. You need to check with your customs office to find out about the costs. Customs clearance fees are different for each delivery service. Here are some examples of administrative fees according to the United States Postal Service:

Sales Tax

California residents pay 8.25 % sales tax.

Online orders are generally filled the same or the next business day. Shipping in the USA takes about another 2 to 5 business days. Other destinations should be about 3 days to a week. If you don’t want to pay by credit card and prefer checks we are glad to take your orders by mail. Your order will be shipped as soon as your check is cleared.

Payment Options

When ordering online you can use the following credit cards: Mastercard, Visa.

If you would like to pay by check or money order, do not order online. You can print out the filled out order form with the calculated shipping and sales tax and send it to us along with your check or money order.

Money orders from outside the USA should be in US dollars. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Returns And Exchanges

There are no returns on opened items unless they are defective. You may exchange any item that is found to be defective for the same item and we will cover the postage. Contact us to let us know about the defective item and we will send you a replacement plus a stamped envelope to return the defective item.
 

Gift Certificates

World of Swing gift certificates are the perfect solution when you just can't seem to decide on the right gift or when you want your gift to arrive today. Gift certificates will be e-mailed to the recipient as soon as your order is processed and the recipient will be able to apply it to the purchase of anything we have for sale at the World of Swing Store USA. World of Swing gift certificates don't expire.

You have two choices how to send a gift certificate to the recipient.

1. In the order form type in the recipient’s e-mail address and the gift certificate will be e-mailed within minutes to the recipient. You also can add a message to the recipient.

2. If you want to present the gift certificate by yourself, send it by mail, send it to multiple recipients, or want to deliver it at a different day, just type in your own e-mail address at the gift certificate field in the order form. This way you can present the gift certificate codes at your choice. If you want to use our World of Swing paper certificate design you can download it here.

The recipient will be able to apply it to the purchase of anything we have for sale at the World of Swing Store USA. World of Swing gift certificates have no expiration date.

Gift certificates and discounts:

Discounts on gift certificates are calculated at the time of purchase. This means that the purchase of gift certificates counts towards the margins for bulk discounts, but the redemption of gift certificates doesn't qualify for a discount. However if an order that uses gift certificates exceeds the value of those gift certificates the exceeding amount has to be paid per credit card and qualifies again for discounts. Due to a limitation of Yahoo Stores! gift certificates and coupon codes can't be entered together. In that case we will correct the invoice to reflect the discount when we process that order.
